Tata Indicom Broadband sucks

I've been a customer of Tata Indicom Broadband (now, i.e. when this is being written, known as Tata Indicom Broadband 2.0) for something around 2 years now. When I first went for their service, I was obviously skeptic with regards to its service. However, after a while, I realized that I'd opted for the right service provider & I was glad for it. I renewed my account without any hesitation after the expiry of my term. There were hardly any connectivity problems or any other; even if there ever was one, it was quickly resolved. It was almost flawless. I was really enjoying this great service. So much that I always recommended it to my friends whenever I got a chance.

But, as they say, every beginning has an ending. My current term (third renewal/recharge) is turning out to be a disaster. Their service has deteriorated to such an extent that, for the past few weeks, I've to register a complaint almost every other day with regards to connectivity problems. And it's come down to everyday for the past 10 days or so. The solution they provide is temporary & again within a few hours, I'm there registering a complaint.

The problem I was facing was frequent disconnection. It gets on your nerves when you get every few minutes. When I try to watch a video online, the buffering starts & in the middle of it, voila, I lose connection. So when the connection resumes, I've to start buffering from the scratch (since the buffering doesn't continue from where it stopped once you lose the connection while you're in the middle of it), & once again before it's hardly done, I lose connectivity. Then there's a problem while chatting. While you're in the middle of a conversation, you get disconnected. If you've faced such a problem, you'll know what I'm talking about. This frequent disconnection is really a pain in the ass. It's one hell of a terribly messy situation.

And when this continued for days, I got sick of it & tired of registering a complaint every day. So I decided to take it out with one of the supervisors. But instead of convincing me of continuous flow of connection soon, he starts providing excuses. At this, I couldn't help but lose my temper & used the 'f' word (however, I never insulted him personally; whatever I said was regarding the service. I didn't say, "FU" or anything like that. I said, "this f***ing service" & so forth). So this gentleman asks me to use the professional language. I asked him, "How about providing a professional service?" Had they being professional in their work, I'd never have had to do any of this. And it wasn't like I was doing it after having the problem for 2-3 days. I couldn't take it when it went on continuously for around some 10 days now. As if that was not enough, for more than 30 hours since 15th August (yeah, the Independence Day of India), there was absolutely no connection whatsoever. Even when the connectivity resumed on 16th August, the frequent disconnection problem is still as it is.

If you're wondering, why I never wrote anything praising their service while I was enjoying it & why share all this (or ranting, as some might prefer to say it) when you're facing a problem, let me tell you that I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't told someone of doing so. It was on an impulse, though. Yet, I try to keep my word as far as possible & so here I'm.

I guess I'm done with this shitty service & I don't think I'll be going for a renewal/recharge again. If you're looking for a broadband service, try it for yourself & see how it sucks or spare yourself from the horror of getting sucked. Take your pick.

That's all I've got to say as of now. It'll be great if this can save someone from falling prey to this annoyingly ridiculous service.
